I really hope that he will play this season! He's one of my favorites on the team and i'm sure his defence will return to him this seoson! I didn't buy that Juan Uribe world series ball for nothing!

Podsednik might not have alot of value in the eyes of sox fans, but i think two years of Podsednik at around 7mil total is a reasonable deal for a B lvl SP spec that has a checkered injury past and a 1B who hasn't moved above A. Scott would certainly be better than Terrmel Sledge & Jose Cruz in LF and hes cheap, how much more $ do the padres have left to pay on Petco?

 

The marlins got 3 good arms for Pierre in his contract year.

 

Kevin Towers is not Jim Hendry, and Scott Podsednik is not Juan Pierre.

 

And I don't think there's a chance in hell Podsednik is better than Cruz in LF in any aspect at all, except stolen bases. Perhaps I'm just a bit biased because I've always loved Cruz, but the numbers will almost undoubtedly agree with me at years end, even if Podsednik has 200 more PA's because Ozzie doesn't know how to construct a lineup.

 

Let's put it this way...all things considered - talent, numbers, and contract status - would you trade Gio Gonzalez for Jeremy Reed with the intention of having Reed replace Anderson in CF? I think that question answers itself, but perhaps not.

lets hope the judge is a white sox fan and does something in order for him to miss most of the year, if not the whole year
