January 16, 200719 yr I'm glad Ken is out of these negotiations. His history with Boras isn't all that hot.
January 16, 200719 yr Interesting. I only know of one other guy who was negotitated by JR... (I am guessing that if Kenny isn't negotiating this deal, the big boss is.)
January 16, 200719 yr I thought KW's assistant, I can't remember his name, handled the dealings with Boras.
January 16, 200719 yr QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:08 AM) Id like to see them sign him to a long deal. Altought i doubt it will happen. with his back, id prefer they trade him now before he's worthless. not that i dont love him!
January 16, 200719 yr QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:20 AM) I thought KW's assistant, I can't remember his name, handled the dealings with Boras. Hahn. He is probably the one doing it, I think that was mentioned last year - Hahn deals with Boras. That was JR's way of trying to fix that particular problem.
January 16, 200719 yr QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:20 AM) I thought KW's assistant, I can't remember his name, handled the dealings with Boras. I'm fairly certain that Rick Hahn is Kenny's backup in these situations, and has worked with Boras clients in the past.

It is Hahn and ironically, Dwight, in your sig and Rick Hahn went to the same high school at about the same time.
January 16, 200719 yr QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:20 AM) I thought KW's assistant, I can't remember his name, handled the dealings with Boras. Dammit, remember to include the Rally Crede
January 16, 200719 yr QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 10:23 AM) Hahn. He is probably the one doing it, I think that was mentioned last year - Hahn deals with Boras. That was JR's way of trying to fix that particular problem. Actually, Dennis Gilbert (Special Asst to the Chairman), handles all negotiations with Boras. Gilbert is a former top agent and probably knows how to get down and speak at Boras' level so Reinsdorf brought him aboard in 2000 to help negotiate contracts, specifically with Boras.
January 16, 200719 yr Good deal. One more year, then pack him up. Bad back+mad loot demand after '07= See ya.
January 17, 200719 yr QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 06:55 PM) A bad back will hurt his trade value quite a bit. As would a weak bat
