Unless you use A/C! - Summer does not save money. Discussion reopened.

Gas costs WAY more than electricity. I'm on the budget and I'm always ahead in the summer and get behind in the winter.

With the recent ComEd increase, my electric is about the same (or possibly a little higher) than the gas. My recent comed bill was $140 and my recent People's Gas was $135. I am almost afraid to see what the summer ComEd bills will be like now.

I've got NIPSCO in Indiana. Both are bills are on the same bill. Gas prices go up in the winter and down in the summer, electric is vice versa. But, gas goes up much more in the winter than electric goes up in the winter. Good point someone made about washing more clothes in the winter too, as I have a gas dryer and a gas water heater.
