I saw the coolest thing while flying home last night...

Featured Replies

We were flying in from Long Beach, CA and our path took us near the Kansas storm that spit out the tornados. We went over one edge of the storm and while doing that I could see lightening from the top side of the clouds so I was watching lightening and stars at the same time. At one point I was able to see the lightening from the cloud side as well as hitting the ground.

Oh, and being able to watch TV while flying home rocked (Jet blue has 36 channels of direct tv).

that sounds pretty sweet. the coolest thing i've seen on a plane was on a flight from new york to madrid. you were flying into the daytime, so at a point if you looked out the window behind you it was night but ahead it was day.

My moms been a flight attendant for over 30 years so needless to say shes seen some interesting things. Shes seen things like a coffin falling out of an airplane she was on to her plane being struck by lightning.

Try living in Kansas for 5 years, yikes.

Luckily, Lawrence has many hills so no chance of a touchdown.

Are you talking weather or the football team?

Coolest thing on a plane was when I flew to Alaska last year and we were flying right next to the Northern Lights. It was amazing to look out the window and see green formations moving about.

Looking out a window over the Sea of Japan as the sun just starts to peak up.

When I worked for the airline I worked for, I rode in the cockpit on several flights. That gives you a whole different perspective on a jumbo-jet, let me tell you. You see things you wish you didn't see... .

So Kap you met Captain Oveur, have you ever seen a grown man naked?

Also, it was cool seeing Chicagos and new Yorks skylines lit up at night.
