March 12, 200719 yr Author QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 11:49 AM) 1968 is by far the best jersey from what you showed us. I agree. And with that: SOLD! I am getting the '68. Thanks for the input, guys!
March 12, 200719 yr Author Well wouldn't ya know it? Between yesterday and today, I finally decide to pull the trigger and my size has SOLD OUT! OOF. I was so pissed that I hunted all over the 'net--these things are not easy to find and forget Ebay--BUT did manage to get what I really wanted all along: The 1959 home jersey, #11. I literally got the last one in my size by ordering direct from the manufacturer. I guess all's well that ends well. Maybe the 1968 one next year.
March 13, 200719 yr Author Yes the current ones are the best, no doubt. I like the red one you have here too. What era is that from? Early 70s?

March 13, 200719 yr I love the classic jersies that the Sox have had. I own most of the Hall of Fame cap collection, and would love to have most the jersies, except for that problem of feeding the baby.
March 19, 200719 yr Author Well brothers, I received my '59 #11 jersey today and love it. Looks great. For a wool jersey it is not itchy at all and it looks bad-ass. Yeah they're expensive as hell but I'll have it for decades, so it was worth it. BTW the sizing is different when dealing with Mitchell & Ness. I wear a 44 comfortably but with theirs this is a 46 and it is the same fit. So if you order from these guys, take that into account. JUST IN TIME FOR OPENING DAY! Woo hoo!
March 19, 200719 yr QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 10:07 AM) From what I understand, as I tried to do this last year, it's no big deal to get a jersey numbered and lettered... with your own name. However, if you want a CURRENT player, they won't do it. You had to have bought the jersey that way--licensing and all that. I was bummed because I have a few blank ones to which I wanted to add a number/player's name but no can do. Unless somebody knows otherwise! Now if it's a past player, I'm not sure how that works. Your right about not being able to get a current player on your jersey. There is away around that. Go to The Sports Huddle in Lockport, and they will do it there. I had two jersey's done there, and Magglo turned into a Pods, and a Shingo; lol, turned into a Konerko. Ask for the owner of the store, his name is Mike. He is a real nice guy, and he will help you out. Here is the info... http://thesportshuddle.com/ The Sports Huddle 922 E. 9th St. Lockport IL. 60441 815-838-8522

The reason why these can be tough to find is Mitchell & Ness actually makes all of their jerseys as limited editions. Once they are sold-out of a particular size, they are gone forever. So many of these jerseys, though they already are steep in price to begin with, actually appreciate over time. I've seen M&N Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan (Sox) and Ventura all go for well over 250$ before. Glad you found what you were looking for, I have no doubt you'll love it and wear it with pride.
