April 2, 200718 yr My favorite part is when they say he gets into the 8th or 9th inning a lot. My grandma could pitch into the 8th inning if she had the same standards that Ozzie does for leaving in his starters. Good luck though to Garcia....I can't believe what he did during the 2005 postseason.
April 2, 200718 yr It's hilarious when they say they think his velocity will increase just like everyone elses. It will increase a little bit, but not by much. He won't be around 91 like they expect him to be. And that's terrible considering he was a mid 90's guy.
April 2, 200718 yr IMO, I really think Freddy is not going to get as much money as he thinks he deserves next offseason. I say this not because I dislike any and all former Sox players, but velocity dropping + 1 sore arm already this year = not good. He has been a horse, but in time a horse's legs wear out.
April 3, 200718 yr One day does not make a season obviously. I wonder if at season's end Freddy will have better numbers than some of our other starters. I'm just wondering if the Sox used up all their good luck during the title season. Should be interesting to see how BMac and Fred compare to the Sox five starters. I hope it was a one day fluke for Jose. Yikes was he bad. Oh well. We need to win Wednesday. It won't be good to have the Tribe come in and win two of three or three.
