April 29, 200718 yr So, I found out not everyone gets the ethanol blend of gasoline that a ton of people get in Iowa. How bout the rest of you guys? Do you get the stuff with the corn in it?
April 29, 200718 yr I learned the hard way that my first car didn't like the 10% stuff. They don't really sell that stuff anymore, or atleast I haven't seen it in years. I'm not really looking anymore. Last summer, I discovered that my truck can run on the E85 stuff, so that was cool. But I have to drive about 10 miles out of my way to get it. I've had one tank of it. I was disappointed that it didn't smell like popcorn.
April 29, 200718 yr As soon as I can afford it, I'm going to get myself a Tesla Roadster. No gas at all! www.teslamotors.com
April 30, 200718 yr It's not available here in Upstate NY, but my corolla can't burn it anyway. My dad bought a GMC truck that can burn E85, and that's all he buys.
April 30, 200718 yr Iowa = Corn Texas = Crude; Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea What the hell do you think . . .
April 30, 200718 yr QUOTE(DePloderer @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 08:41 AM) What are you talking about? Is this some kind of Popcorn flavoured petrol? Used cooking oils are being processed for use as a fuel. I've heard of a french fry odor. but not popcorn. Here is a link from your edge of the world http://www.nowpublic.com/cooking_oil_into_fuel wiki on the subject http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegoil
