May 10, 200718 yr No Earnhardt's wife got bequeathed the majority ownership. Dale Sr. probably never thought as much of Jr. as Theresa when it came to business.
May 10, 200718 yr QUOTE(longshot7 @ May 10, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) Stupid. Shouldn't he OWN dei? by now, yes. That was his father's master plan, too bad his mother is a money grubbing biatch.

May 11, 200718 yr Author Yes, STEPmother. I don't think they ever got along very well. There's talk of him going to RCR and driving his Dad's #3.

I heard a mention today of the following taking place: - A deal between RCR and DEI that would do the following: Allow Jr to take the #8 car to RCR and in turn, Theresa Earnhardt gets the right to sell memorabilia using the #3 car likeness, which is owned by RCR. Who knows if that would ever happen but its interesting indeed.

May 12, 200718 yr QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:02 PM) There's talk of him going to RCR and driving his Dad's #3. Not happy about that in the least. If it does come to fruition, I hope that RC remembers who helped him reinvigorate the team . QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ May 11, 2007 -> 06:56 PM) I would think that Jr. would rather drive #3 Also considering Richard Childress drove the 3 before E, I don't see him giving that up any time too soon.
