I am taking the Kid to PNC this summer anything I should know about it? Cost wise can I get some real cheap seats because I am really going to see the park not the game.

well i saw the sox play there last year all 3 games, and got back late last night from seeing them play 3 friday-yesterday, and it's only 27 bucks a ticket to sit in the lower deck behind home plate. the hot dogs-sugardale- are gross. when u go to pittsburgh, make sure u go on the duquesne incline. u can get some real nice pictures of the city/pnc/heinz field from up there.

Jacobs Field is my favorite. I enjoyed everything about that ballpark.

I do like the Jake a lot, if it wasn't for that bastard with the drum, the bleachers would be one of the best seats in baseball.

this incline you speak of will I be able to find it easily? $27 lower behind homeplate? hell may just do that then

After coming back this weekend, I am going to rank PNC ahead of Miller Park on my list.

 

Aside from Wrigley, I am going to cast a vote against Jacobs Field. I was there last night. First, I thought everything in the park was dirty and poorly maintained. If the national media complains about the neighborhood the Cell is in, why are they not bothered by the crumbling buildings around Jacobs Field. The new Hall of Fame plaza did add some historical perspective to a park that was lacking it. Maybe a good cleaning and some renovations would change my mind about the Jake.

Best Park: Camden Yards - Has everything you want in a park. Has the perfect blend of old school ballpark with modern conveniences. Others have copied it, but haven't mastered it like Camden. Plus, Orioles fans seemed quite pleasant.

 

Other favs: The Cell, Coors Field (Thought Coors was basically the same as Camden, sans the warehouse).

 

Underrated: Milwaukee County Stadium - Not sure why, but I really enjoyed the place.

 

Worst Park: Metrodome - Doesn't get much worse. And they don't tell you that your ears pop when you walk through the revolving doors of that s***hole.

 

Overrated: Miller Park - Its nice, but unless the roof is open, it still doesn't feel like I'm at a baseball game.

Yes, at night it is lit up from top to bottom with orange lights. I'm not sure how to get there exactly, but if you ask anyone on the streets, they'll tell you.

I had a blast at Comerica. This was back when the Tigers were atrocious. The fans were great and it's just a beautiful open spot. Probably the only nice thing about Detroit.

The lemonade guy at PNC Park is probably the most annoying/weird/psycho vendor in the MLB.

Oakland is getting a new ballpark that looks like it has a Camden Feel to it.

I never went, but I heard County Stadium was basically heaven.

 

Good one. The nice thing was tix were cheap. That was about it!

 

I've been to the parks in Seattle, Baltimore, LA (the Dodgers), Milwaukee (both County and Miller Park), New York (Yankees and Mets), Boston, and San Francisco. For some reason, I had the most fun at Dodger Stadium, I don't know why. Just a cool, old park. Shea is basically a dump.
