Anyone else like this show? I thought last nights was pretty solid, and I really liked the first one.

i didnt want to be the one putting this thread up, seeing as I put up entourage and the office. I love FOTC, I have been watching their stuff for a while. I cant wait to see them work in "Hiphopopotomous vs Rhymenocerous" to the show, its one of their funniest songs.

My wife and I almost pissed our pants laughing at this show the other night. Good stuff, which means it won't last.

I surprisingly like it. I didnt think I would when I started watching it, but Ive seen bits and pieces from different episodes and thought it was pretty funny.

 

I think it was the first episode, but the part when they are talking about how the one guy TALKS about getting with some pretty hot girls was hilarious.

This show rocks the house. American television could use more programming like it, and also more digital guitar solos.

Yes! I was hoping a Flight of the Conchords thread would pop up. First two episodes have been hilarious. Lets hope it holds up over time.

 

My favorite scenes all involve their meetings with their band manager Murray. They've killed me every time. From the looks of the preview for next week, they'll be incorporating their song on "The Issues" in the next episode. If you haven't heard it, here's a looksy...

Murray is really funny, I like how he fired Bret last week and replaced him with a tape of Bret.

Loved the little argument they all had about Bret blowing off the band for work.

Murray: "Whats more important, the band or your job?"

 

Bret: "Well, I got the job because we didn't have any gigs."

 

Murray: "Well, how can I give you a gig if you have this job?"

 

Bret: "Thats why I got the job. Cause there were no gigs."

 

Murray: "Well I can't get you a gig if you always have to go out and do a job."

 

Bret: "Well, I needed the job cause there were no gigs."

 

Murray: "Well, I got you a gig, so whats with the job?"

 

Bret: "But thats just it, I got the job because there were no gigs, man. It's a chicken/egg situation."

You know, if she started watching FOTC with you, she would probably like it. But you will probably never like 90210 reruns, so she would be the only one benefitting from that arangement. Bummer

This show is absolutely excellent.

the strange thing is, when Bret is singing it sounds like it is serious and I dont like it, when Jemaine starts singing I find it funny. Maybe its the looks on their faces(Jemaine makes me laugh just by looking at him)

I agree with you, Jemaine is much funnier on his delivery.Bret is too much of a pretty boy to be funny,there is not many that are good comedians.

Episode 3 was f***ing hilarious. HipHopopotomous vs Rhymenocerous was well done, as was the Issue song. i loved how they became friends with the muggers, that was great.

Once again, the meetings with Murray left me in stitches.
