White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)

Featured Replies

My hopes for the rest of this month and next:

Offense scores 7 in the first 6 innings. Thome, Dye, Iguchi do well.

Starters pitch well for 7 innings.

Bullpen comes in and blows the game.

Four outs to the magic 30 win total

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 09:05 PM)
NO part of that makes sense. Even if he were pitching incredibly well it would still make no sense to do something like that at this point in the season.

I was talking about Guillen, thought everybody would get that.

Wind kept that first one in the park.

How can you blame Ozzie...this team is hopeless.

Didn't connect with me but now I get it

Now Bukvich wants to pitch good.

He can smell pennant fever :D

champagne on ice in the visitors clubhouse!

record-setting performance?

15 Ks is the second mosts in the glorious history of the Rays.

I changed my PTC tonight to Tad Iguchi because the game notes said he hit Tampa good. What happened?

Did you know that the field there is in St. Pete and not Tampa? It's across the bay.

This is the kind of thing I entertain myself with when I'm waiting for the bullpen to blow it.

But, as DJ informs us, when you touch stingrays in the tank at Brookfield Zoo, they're "slimy."

He just grounded out, and now he's 0-4.

Fields needs a knock.

Clue to our next minor league hitting instructors. Teach some of our hitting prospects, that major league pitchers can spot low and away. Its not a pitch that comes around 2 times a year. If you are a member of the whitesox, you will be featured it over and over. Right field is not out, you can hit it there as well.

I guess he forgot to read the game notes, or they don't translate to Japanese very well :bang

Fields does seem to know the zone pretty well. He takes a lot of close pitches.

On the pregame show Walker identified the low and away problem and said they corrected it by giving all the players bats that are 3 inches longer.

Terrero, meanwhile, can't hit the inside pitch.

Tampa has jammed him pretty effectively all night.

at least we didn't strike out in the ninth!

Here comes the boom?

---Tries to figure out a way to lose without making Jenks look bad---

I cant wait till later in the season, when we see a quote, that even though they noticed some mechanical flaws in Fields swing, they didnt want to change him. Because that was the swing he got to the majors with.

Thats the excuse they used last year when they allowed Anderson to die a slow and rotten death up here.
