Craig Counsell is Ned Yost's version of Erstad. He keeps benching either Hardy or Weeks so Counsell and his sub .230 batting average can play 3 times a week.

The only reason I am holding out hope is the thought that the Cubs might out-do themselves and undergo a new monumental collapse in the last week. To do this, they have do get their magic number to 1 and fail to close the deal until they run out of time on the last day. Unless this happens, there is no hope.

The White Sox have been lacking the Timo Perez/starting for no good reason player for 2 years now.

And it's also nice to see the reason why Geoff Jenkins has never been in a pennant race before. The Brewers veterans, like Jenkins, Miller, and Counsell have been disgraceful.

You and I have probably followed the Brewers closer than anyone lately on this site. Yost better be fired the second the season ends, as he's the dumbest piece of s*** to ever manage in the majors. If he was going to only have a righty face one batter in the 8th, he should have let Gallardo bunt for himself in the 8th.

In Yost's defense (you may want to make the time and date that I defend Yost down because it won't happen often), an inning without Miller hitting or catching is better for the Brewers.

I'm actually a huge fan of Rivera's hitting, but if you can't bring Miller in for defensive purposes, why is he even on the team? Is it so we can hear how much of a Packers fan he is?
