Yesterday night I heard that we got Everett and I was f***ing pissed. We do not need this f***ing nuthead to swing for his little sweet fences everytime. Geez, dont we have enough players like that?? Our fundamentals go even LOWER than it has been and that does not f***ing help. And worse, we most likely got rid of Cotts or Honel, so our system is pretty f***ed up.

 

The one positive that I can think of is that KW is finally trying. Whether that is a good thing or not remains to be seen..

Reports are that it won't be Honel, thats for sure. Most of us are also hoping that Cotts is on that list of untouchables.

 

I'm thinking the one PTBNL would be a guy on the DL, someone like Corwin Malone, maybe?

I think everett's a little better fielder than people here are giving him credit for, I'm just not sure if what he brings fills any holes really. He's not as good in CF as Rowand, and his career numbers don't tell us he'll hit all that much better either. He's a switch hitter, which helps I guess. I think it really depends on what we give up for him. If it's 2 AAA scrubs and a A prospect, then fine. If it's Cotts, Ginter and another top-tier guy, then it's stupid.

I think Everett is just a DH the same way Frank is. Both are still capable in the field. I think the whole righty lefty thing is overrated but still a couple lefty bats in the lineup is nice. What we didn;t need was another big, slow, powerhitting right hander.

A DH that we need. Frank will continue to play first and our outfield defense will still be as good with Harris/Rowand platooning in center.
