Since there have bee some issues regarding Alexei, I thought this might clear the air for some.

Although Williams could not go into any detail concerning Ramirez, who has yet to officially join the organization, Williams expects Ramirez in Tucson, Ariz., for the start of Spring Training.

I knew he was having trouble coming over .. but its good to have a time table of when the Sox think they will see him .. hope he is going to be a great asset to the team

Well just because he expects him doesn't mean it's definitely going to happen, but it's likely, and promising news nonetheless.

My guess would be he starts the year off in AAA because the Sox can't find a taker for Uribe's contract. If they could trade Uribe, Ramirez becomes the utility man off the bench from the get-go.

I don't consider this newsworthy at all. Since it was announced that the agreement had happened, I've always 'expected' Ramirez to be there for ST.

I wonder if he is having birth certificate problems? Purely speculation, but it makes sense why he can't get into the US, especially with the history Cubans have of quickly getting older.

It's weird how that happens, who knew that baby Elian was actually 23?

Here is speculation. It's really difficult to get into the United States, now with the way security is. It is even more difficult if you come from a country of evil doers, like Cuba.
