March 3, 200818 yr Jeff Healey died in Toronto on Sunday at age 41 after a bout with cancer. Very sad news - I was lucky enough to see him in concert a couple times, and he was absolutely fantastic. 41 is way too young to check out. Rest in Peace, Jeff.
March 3, 200818 yr Saw this on Yahoo this morning. Quite sad. I didn't realize his blindness was due to a lifelong battle with cancer.
March 3, 200818 yr Wow, that is sad. I saw him at Mabel's in Champaign the month See the Light was released. He was amazing, warm, smiled throughout the show. 41 certainly is too young. And I didn't know the blindness was cancer-related either.

March 6, 200818 yr In a related story, Patrick Swayze - also of Roadhouse - confirmed that he is currently suffering from Pancreatic Cancer. The National Enquirer is reporting that he only has weeks to live.

His publicist denies the severity of the illness, but he looks like hell in the story photo and pancreatic cancer is especially pernicious, hard to catch before it spreads, and almost impossible to hit pharmaceutically once it does.
March 7, 200818 yr I remembered that song Angel Eyes he sang. It was pretty good. Came out around the same time as Roadhouse. I think he toured with Stevie Ray Vaughn as well.
