What did you guys think of it? I hate just about everything Red Sox....but I suppose its nice of the phony creation known as "red sox nation" to finally say sorry to the guy after they pretty much treated him like he was adolf hitler for 20 years

Given what a bunch of asstards Red Sox/Patriots Nation can be, it was nice to see them finally get off this guy's back.

They should have got off his back 22 years ago.

Anyone see the news conference after the game? I felt bad for him. He was really choked up and had trouble getting five words out of him mouth.

doesnt mean much to me, if they didnt win the World Series he still wouldnt be welcomed back in boston.

Hell, Buckner was a decent ballplayer. This hang over his head for too long. If him and Boston fans can bury the hatchet, I'm happy for him. He didn't deserve the s*** he went through.

I learned something, I always thought that was his last season with the Sawks. He played four more, so I'm wondering why that lingered so long after he retired.

In that spirit, someone should have a Steve Bartman day. :lolhitting He saved a few players the same sort of treatment by being their scapegoat.

Actually I was thinking about whats-his-name who bobbled a ball thatw as actually in play, which was actually the bigger factor in them losing. But I forget his name because of Steve.
