July 8, 200322 yr In my opinion, the best long term 2B prospect in the system is Pedro Lopez, the 2B at Kannapolis. He's only 19 and has shown pretty good bat control, and his hitting has come on after a bad start. Also, he's got very good range, great baseball instincts, plus arm for second base, and he can steal a base or two.

July 8, 200322 yr I agree with JimH, Lopez is our top 2B prospect in the minors. Antoin Gray may be in another year or two if he can play the D and keep hitting.
