June 6, 200817 yr Author Egbert struck out the side in the first inning. Good start. He had a great outing last time out (7 inning, 3 hits, 1 run, 4 Ks, 0 BBs)... let's hope he keeps building on that.

June 7, 200817 yr WTF? retherford pitched in the 8th of the winston-salem game. i think he was our best pitcher all night too.
June 7, 200817 yr Richar 2-4 with a homer, and went Fields 2-4. Getz 2-3 with a double and 2 rbi's. Getz on the season: .309/.359/.471 with 6 homers, 22 RBI's, 5 SB in 8 attempts, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 27-17 K-BB, and has played all around the field (2B, SS, LF). I think we could see him at some point this season as a lefty bat off the bench and utility player. Plus, hopefully Uribe will be gone next season with Ramirez at SS, leaving 2B open to competition between Getz and Richar.
