If Frank makes it, I would bet that he gets asked to be in the derby.

I'm pretty sure that you have to be an All-Star to be in the HR derby. Thomas was one of the league leaders in HRs in 2000, didn't make the AS team, no HR derby.

Right now Thomas is tied for 7th in home runs. Since three guys either tied for him or ahead in HRs are not on the AS team, I think he'd make it.
