August 20, 200817 yr I have a lot to say about fantasy sports and pop culture, so I launched a blog this morning. It stemmed from my disbelief that the general world has not yet and/or took so long to pick up on Ian Stewart as a fantasy stud they should add. People such as Eric Karabell and Brandon Funston got lucky, but they don't know much. I think I know more, and maybe someone someday will agree and pay me to write this s***. Until then, it's at the URL below, feel free to comment on how lame I am and how I know nothing, but I figured having been around here for awhile some folks out there might actually trust my judgement and give a damn. http://because-i-say-its-important.blogspot.com/ PS, you'll notice that's Jim Thome's silhouette I used for the MLB portion! August 20, 200817 yr i found that starting a blog is easy. Maintaining a blog, and keeping the interest level up (for yourself) is the hard part. Hopefully you get a nice following and can avoid the blog trolls. Good start though
August 20, 200817 yr I used to blog on TSN, same screen name, in fact that's the first place I used it. I ended up getting bored with it because the general commenting areas (news articles, TSN staff blogs and so on) are poorly moderated and they don't do anything about trolling unless someone says something blatantly racist or threatening.
August 20, 200817 yr Author Anyone have any best-practices for getting this thing out there? Or does it just kinda automatically get hit? PS, got a pop culture article up there now.
August 20, 200817 yr I dunno, on TSN, generally speaking the more you blog, the more people will see it, and if people like it, they will friend you, come back and read what you write and see your titles linked more often. If you write crappy blogs people will start catching on and nobody will read it. As far as regular ones I really don't know.

I used it and they had some "Top 200 blogs" and "top 100 new blogs" that people would search through. Unfortunately a lot of idiots get on there and ruin things just to be trolls.
