Appears the Sox don't have any players in the Hawaiian League this year.

What about the other leagues? Do you have any links to the winter ball rosters?

I am hoping to see Donny Lucy's name somewhere, along with Kevin Dubler.

Ahhh... thanks. I didn't think about putting links in last night.

I just put links to the leagues up there.

No rosters have been announced for the Caribbean League teams yet.

Just looking through the rosters we don't have many players in mexican or dominican leagues. So far I've seen Jason Childers in the mexican league, Franklyn German, Santo Luis, and Francisco Hernandez in Dominican league. That's all i've seen so far, nobody to really get excited about.

A couple of others that I found;

Victor Mercedes and Ricardo Nanita in the Dominican League.

D.J. Carrasco, Joucer Martinez, Johny Celis, Rather Trujillo, Clevelan Santeliz and Jose Martinez all in the Venezuelan League.

Again, not a whole lot to get excited about apart from Jose Martinez, if he is in fact healthy now.

Santo Luis is an interesting guy the Sox took in the minor league phase of the Rule-5 draft last year. I'm pretty sure I read he can hit the triple digits with his fastball, and this last season, even though he was 24 and repeating A ball, he cut his walk rate down to 2.8/9 and consequently did a much better job keeping the ball in the park. Again, he's 24 in A ball, but 133K in 90IP is pretty impressive regardless. Hopefully he can be a diamond in the rough and not suck like Dewon Day did.

D.J. Carrasco in the Venezuelan League.

Makes me wonder if they plan to stretch him out to compete for the 5th starter position.

I sure hope not. DJ Carrasco as your 5th starter in a wost case scenario not a definite possibility.

I wouldnt mind giving him a ST invite with a chance to win the long man spot next year, but i dont want him anywhere near the rotation however.

The rosters for the PR league aren't up yet, but, Sergio Miranda tells me that he will be playing in that league.

You mean Miguel Negron? He's still around.

More seriously though, I see nothing about O'Malley moving along. He was last listed with B-Ham. Where/how as he moved?

David Cook is also playing in the Domincan League.

I noticed it on his facebook page. He doesn't say where though. Let me ask him.

He said he has only been down there three days, but he will be playing for leones del escogito.

Looks like Cook has moved from the Dominican League to the Venezuelan League.

He had 2 hits in 13 at-bats in the Dominican League before the move... both homeruns.

David Cook player page with winter league stats.

Looks like he went hitless in this first three games in Venezuela... then has had at least one hit in each of the seven games he's started since.
