November 28, 200817 yr My grandmother passed away from pancreatic cancer, it's the b****iest of them all. If it has started to spread, he won't make Christmas.

I would think it is better - it seems like most people really regret never being able to say goodbye to loved ones. I think it would ease people's minds to say goodbye and express their love while he's still alive.
