Nope, Cotts has never been considered a hard thrower. Maine certainly has some nasty numbers. I am looking forward to seeing him.

i can't seem to find the article to back me up, so i will give way to what others are saying.

since this is somewhat a minors league based thread, how is Andy Gonzalez coming around. i have heard that he has been a huge disappointment this yr.

Hitting around .230. Really struggled out of the gate. Then got hot about a month ago to get him up to .230 and has stayed right in that neighborhood.

The Sox definitely hoped for more.

Ring enters the game to get the final out....

Ring looked very solid. Nice curveball and good control.

The guy that impressed me the most was that Rockies pitcher from Asia. He seemed to have command of three pitches and knew how to pitch.

The Pirates guy Vanderbotch was also very good.

Harden, who was probably the most hyped, has great velocity and such, but I didn't see all that much movement on his fastball. Greinke was damn good.

I'm guessing we'll see Honel and someone else in next years.
