December 12, 200817 yr He and Jenks are the only arbitration eligible players on the roster guaranteed to be tendered a contract, Wise and Carrasco are also eligible but are likely candidates to be cut loose tomorrow night. I imagine Jenks will get something like $5.2M.
December 12, 200817 yr Could this be the end of DJ the potential 5th starter (shudder), and the Black Ross Gload?

December 12, 200817 yr Much better to use that much money on a platoon partner than giving someone like Nick Punto (who can play 3B, but more likely SS in 2009 IIRC) 4M.
