iamshack
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 11:53 AM) I have a cousin who would love to be a vendor or usher for the Sox. Does anyone know how he can contact the Sox about a job position. I think they usually have an open house for the vendor positions in conjunction with the company that handles the food and drinks at the Cell....should be able to find it through the White Sox or that company. Steff
Vendors are union. Unless you know someone currently in you wont have much luck as the wait list is long. Not sure about ushers. We've had the same 4 rotating in our section for the past 5 seasons. Seems they stick around awhile.

nitetrain8601
For the usher, I was one back in '04. The company is At Your Service, and you are not just limited to Sox games. You also have to work special events at the United Center, Sox conventions, concerts, etc. Not a bad job to have in high school. I think you have to go to gate 8 at the United Center and ask for an application. It wasn't hard to get hired at all, but you are not limited to just ushering. You may also have to do ticket-taking, coat check, etc.
elrockinMT
Could he get a job if he knows the Governor or Mayor? And has the right amount of money?
103 mph screwball
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) Could he get a job if he knows the Governor or Mayor? And has the right amount of money? I have this thing and it's bleeping golden. If somebody wants this White Sox vendor job, I'm not going to just give it away. The Ginger Kid
I sold programs for a summer in Baltimore, much easier gig and free seats. He should look into that, beats the hell out of dragging ass up and down the aisles.
