The Burnitz thing is somewhat old news. It happened earlier today. Also of mention is Rickey Henderson is back in the majors. He too is with the Dodgers (how desperate are they?).

 

And I heard on ESPN Radio the other morning that the Yankees are interested in Koch. But, they are also interested in Armando Benitez, and I'm sure they'd pick Armando ahead of Koch, but we'll see what happens.

Well what would you rather have, a guy that blows games and throws 96-98, or a guy that blows games and throws 88-90?

Well after seeing what the Rangers got for Urbina (Whose over-rated) I definately believe their is some interest in Koch.

 

The Yanks are interested in Koch as well as Benitez and I think we know Jeff Weaver makes sense, especially now that Wright is down in AAA.

 

If you want my two cents, don't be shocked if Koch is out of town by the end of the week. I also think Jerry will be out of town.

I really think it would be great to receive any value for Koch. I also think New York may have some extra interest in Koch because he is a native of New York.

And watch once Koch gets to New York he will be throwing 93-94(yes I know not the 99-100 we heard but still faster then what we got).

 

 

BTW. Juan Rivera and Adrian Hernadez would probaly be the players in return.

Jeez, we do not need Juan Rivera, another overhyped yankee prospect who will never make it. Hernandez has been shuffled around too, not much at all there.

Not saying either is good, but right now who can you name that is better. Sorriano is in the Majors and Henson was drafted bye the Texans. So I think he goes there after this season. I guess you can say Weaver, but before Sunday he had sucked all year.

Didn't the Yankees get Benitez yesterday? And why in God's name would the Yankees trade Weaver to Boston. I thought you don't trade players within your division, especially to division rivals in the playoff hunt.

Sorry about the last post. Should've researched before posting. The Giants backed out of a three way deal that would land Benitez in a Yankees uniform. But, Peter Gammons did say something last night about Weaver going to Boston. It hasn't happened yet, but I really don't think that would be a smart move.

If we could get Poppy Hidalgo for Koch it would be a good deal.
