April 2, 200917 yr At least that is the report. I fully believe Tim Floyd has the ability to be an elite college coach and while I thought he was going to eventually turn USC into a national champion contender I have no doubt that he'll keep Arizona's program at the high level it was during the Lute Olsen tenure.

I fully believe Tim Floyd has the ability to be an elite college coach and while I thought he was going to eventually turn USC into a national champion contender I have no doubt that he'll keep Arizona's program at the high level it was during the Lute Olsen tenure. I agree, I think he's an excellent college coach and this is a good choice by Arizona.
April 2, 200917 yr Author I always thought they should have tried to bring him back after he left the Bulls. I know Eustachy was doing good at the time, but right now, Iowa basketball (Iowa State, and University of Iowa) is just irrelevant. Its pathetic.
April 2, 200917 yr Author Oh and I wonder what will happen with Floyd's recruiting class. I expect USC to be able to land a pretty big name coach though. I wonder if they go the route of Gillespie or who they try to pull. USC is a pretty good program right now, they have a phenomenal facility and a lot of returning talent.
April 2, 200917 yr Apparently he gave a speech to players the night before urging them to stay at USC. What a dick. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...sy-of-tim-floyd
April 2, 200917 yr QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 04:17 PM) I think Floyd will bring Arizona back to the dominant school it used to be. According to ESPN Radio...Floyd staying at USC.
April 2, 200917 yr Author He has one of the nations top recruiting classes. I just know one thing, Tim Floyd is one of the premiere coaches in the land, whether its at USC or Arizona, he'll win a national championship or two by the time his career is done.
April 3, 200917 yr QUOTE (longshot7 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) Apparently he gave a speech to players the night before urging them to stay at USC. What a dick. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/...sy-of-tim-floyd I guess he's not as much of a dick.
April 3, 200917 yr Author I heard the USC players talking about him today and they said they admired how honest Floyd was about the entire situation and they were also talking about how helpful he is about there decisions to go pro and that from what he's heard from his peers that play at other programs he feels that Floyd is on a whole other level with the way he treats his players.
