I'm not a big fan of this line of thinking. What if they play baseball for another 500 or 2000 years? A hitter first reached 300 career HR 84 years ago and 300 in a career hasn't become prevalent until relatively recently so it didn't take very long for a feat such as this to take place. If Major League Baseball exists for even another 500 years then baseball history as we know it will be a mere drop in the bucket.

 

The odds that it happens again are so slim. Two batters hitting the same landmark home runs in back to back at bats. That's all I was saying.

That was so crazy. The best part of it was JD's reaction in the dugout after Paulie's went out.

I'd like to see if the stats geeks can come up with any 2 players who have hit back to back home run with the same number of career HR's over 100 be it 101 , 237 or w/e.
