July 20, 200322 yr I wouldn't of minded picking up Williams and trying to turn him around. He is a good reliever or at least he always has been. I haven't watched enough Pirate games to say what is wrong with him though.
July 20, 200322 yr Williams is a good pitcher. I think he is just having a bad year. I still can't believe the Phillies are doing so well. If I were them I'd make another trade though.
July 21, 200322 yr If you look at Williams game by game he's had a couple of horrendous outings. His best pitch is a nasty slider. He's been one of the few bright spots for the Pirates in recent years. I don't blame the Phillies for taking a chance on him.
