Nationals to fire Manny Acta...

Featured Replies

Per MLBTR...

Bench coach Jim Riggleman will replace him.

It's not the poo's fault that it stinks.

I like Acta, i hope he can get a job with a team that agrees with him at some point. Like the Athletics.

Riggleman! Nationals are doomed

Fire the owners and front office as well!

Gotta be the worst organization in pro sports.

Not even close. Hell, you could argue there are worse organizations in MLB. The Nats are down because they had to be the Expos for a couple years which is going to murder any franchise, and because they had some terrible leadership when they moved to Washington. Their offense right now is one of the better ones in the NL...they have a good ballpark, they have some young guys, and they ought to be on the verge of adding a 102 mph fastball pitcher to lead their rotation. In the NL, they might have a shot at competing next year, esp. if they add a veteran pitcher or two over the offseason.

Are Strasburg and Bryce Harper worth all this?

Yep!

they have been talking about it since Friday. Have they even done it yet?
