Man, baseball is a weird sport.

We just bash Cliff Lee a year after he just mowed everybody down.

How can any team in baseball give a pitcher a big contract?

You just never know with most pitchers from year to year (except Buehrle of course).

you generally know from year to year. Cliff Lee's ERA entering the night was 2.92.

Glad they called the game. Beckman is sure coming on hitting.

it was funny to see how po'd he was when he struck out on that last AB.

Is it too soon to want to see Nix in LF with Pods in CF?

Yes - but I'd like to see Nox get some more playing time not necessarily at Getz' expense.

Clayton sure looks decent as a backend (5th spot is where I think he fits) starter. He gave up some runs tonight but overal was steady. I expect his ERA will go down with time if he spots his pitches a little bit more. The offense clicked again. And yes Paulie/Slayer are on a tear!!!!!!!

I think he lost some focus in the 5th because he was trying to rush through the inning.

I almost forgot, this win puts the Sox over .500

That's what I was thinking last night. We are over the hump now. I was listening on XM radio and even being Cleveland announcers it was good to hear the game and the broadcast was very favorable towards the Sox. Some of those home town types can be pretty rude at times.

He's been mowing a lot of people down this season too.

It's almost as if we had a really good plan for how we should attack him. I wonder if there's a coach or something who's job it is to come up with such a plan.
