Should sox activate Quentin before Wed game ???

Featured Replies

I only think that the sox should do this because we face three left handed starters in a row for the next three games. This will allow Ozzie to play him at DH in at least two of those games and maybe the field in one. Then he can play a game or two this weekend in the field and rest over the all-star break. The more games we can get out of him before the trade deadline the better. This will allow KW to see him in live game action and decide what to do, come July 31st. Ofcourse this is also assuming the sox were going to activate him after the all-star break anyways, why not now, especially since they say he has been taking swings while being out? Just wondering your thoughts, if I get bashed too much, it will be another year before I post again, j/k

Hell No

At least give us a little explanation of why not?

3 games on turf coming up - seems like they'd just be asking for trouble. Can't see him playing all 3 on turf.

lets go nice and slow with him so we can have him for the entire second half

For all these reason above.

Our offense is rocking right now, keep it going

Just seen Ozzie quote saying he is still having a hard time cutting while running, so nevermind probably would be a nightmare on the, even if he did just DH.

CQ's health > maybe a few days of production

It will nice when w get CQ back, but as stated in other posts and news reports CQ needs a bit more time to heal. However that heel will take time to heal, if it ever does completely

Exactly, especially with the team doing just fine as-is. Zero reason to risk it. We just have 5 games left, then a 4 day break, giving TCQ a nice long rehab in Charlotte.

He'll probably be back with the team after the All-Star break, that is my guess.
