July 14, 200916 yr QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) Thank God. Those sideburns were douche-tastic.... Hey, sometimes they can be slimming on a large head, like mine.
July 14, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 08:36 AM) Whoa, put on the brakes. The last time this happened, two weeks later, the guy was traded... It would not surprise me. If a club the Sox were dealing with wanted to see how he could handle AAA, the Sox might promote a guy to showcase him.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 05:27 PM) Trading Flowers would be a huge mistake. .....Unless they get somebody really good.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 10:46 PM) So....Lucy was demoted to Birmingham? Yes. And Ricks went back to W-S.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:44 AM) Yes. And Ricks went back to W-S. Lucy's back in Charlotte, Ricks is back in B'ham. Don't know what's going on.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) Lucy's back in Charlotte, Ricks is back in B'ham. Don't know what's going on. I'm guessing Armstrong got traded in that case.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 12:36 PM) I'm guessing Armstrong got traded in that case. He's still on Charlotte's roster too.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) Lucy's back in Charlotte, Ricks is back in B'ham. Don't know what's going on. Are you going by what is on MiLB.com? That's not too reliable. No way they keep all three in Charlotte. One of Armstrong or Lucy has to get sent down, traded or released.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) Are you going by what is on MiLB.com? That's not too reliable. No way they keep all three in Charlotte. One of Armstrong or Lucy has to get sent down, traded or released. Oh, I know it's not reliable. I'm just passing that along. Plus, that would put Charlotte over the roster limit. July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) Oh, I know it's not reliable. I'm just passing that along. Plus, that would put Charlotte over the roster limit. Charlotte gets back to action tomorrow, but B'ham resumes play tonight. So, we may not know until tomorrow what's up with Lucy and Armstrong.
July 15, 200916 yr Another reason to think something is afoot with the catchers in the system - Luis Sierra, a natural shortstop, played a full game at C today for Kanny. They have two catchers on the roster already. Weird.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) Another reason to think something is afoot with the catchers in the system - Luis Sierra, a natural shortstop, played a full game at C today for Kanny. They have two catchers on the roster already. Weird. Actually, Phegley is the only catcher on Kanny's roster right now.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Actually, Phegley is the only catcher on Kanny's roster right now. OK, I thought Curtis was still there. Even that, though, is odd, unless Sierra really is a catcher.
July 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) OK, I thought Curtis was still there. Even that, though, is odd, unless Sierra really is a catcher. Curtis has been in W-S for about a week and a half. Sierra is a utility player, but if he's adding catcher to his repertoire, then he's a super sub.
