I think Hoyt, Dotson and Bannister were something like 42-5 the last half. Of course I may be off on those numbers, but it was pretty unbelievable. Britt Burns was the #4 starter.

 

I don't remember the details as I was only 9, but I have never seen a team go on THAT kind of a tear in Chicago. It was the best baseball I have ever seen, even including the 2005 who was consistantly good for the entire season.

No, other than Kittle almost everyone on that team had a terrible April and May. Fisk was hitting under .200, Baines got hs first homers in late May...we've gotten hosed before, but that yeat no one really deserved it other than Kittle.
