August 1, 200916 yr Nunez Up; Lillibridge Down SoxNet Scouting Report: Nunez is a quality relief prospect, who has a chance at developing into a good set-up men. He features a plus fastball (94-96) which he combines with an average-to-good slider. The key to Nunez success at the major league level will be his slider. His slider can be a good pitch when he stays on top of his delivery and if he throws it with consistency we'll see him in the White Sox pen for the next couple years. August 1, 200916 yr I really want to see him pitch. Sounds nasty. Hope he doesn't have control problems.
August 1, 200916 yr He doesn't need the slider if he can locate the fastball. Just ask Matt Thornton. Edited August 1, 200916 yr by chw42
August 2, 200916 yr Nunez might even pitch tomorrow, but before that hopefully Mark Buerhle has a qualkity 7 or 8 innings and that Sox are up 15-0 Edited August 2, 200916 yr by elrockinMT
