July 27, 200322 yr 1. JM takes Porzio out earlier. He had nothing today. He accomplishes nothing by leaving him in. 2. One or two of those bunts gets beat out. That could have been a really big inning. Daubach's should have been a shoo-in, the third baseman was so far off the line. Robbie's was an eyelash play. Just give me one of them. 3. JM brings in a lefty to face Huff, or at least walks him. No excuse to leave White in the way they were hitting him. The game was tied at the start of that inning.
July 27, 200322 yr I don't like defending Jerry. But it's not like he's gotta a whole lot of options after Marte and Flash...I thought they shoulda walked Huff to get to the next dude. But oh well...Will whoop that ass tomorrow...

July 27, 200322 yr Author That's why we can never evaluate the trade. No one knows if Rowand got his s*** together. If we had waited another two weeks, maybe the trade doesn't get made. Easy to second guess.

July 27, 200322 yr It is unfortunate because Rowand was really starting to hit when they got Everett, for apparently no reason other than to make the stockholders and fans think they were making a run at it , "hey they must be, tey are buying instead of selling." Well, it has cost one of the guys that was getting hot not to have anywhere to play, when he should be in CF everyday.
