North / Northwest Suburban Jazz / Blues Clubs

Featured Replies

My son will be visiting his egg donor later this month and was interested in a jazz club and a blues club to visit. He's 21, so I assume any bar would be available. Anything up in the suburbs? He's going to be up in Mundelein.

When I think of the Blues, the north suburbs just don't quite spring to mind. Most of the ones I know are in the city. Actually, all of them are. But its possible there are some up there I guess.

Have you tried yelp?

Same here. I am hesitant to send him into the city by himself. He does fine in Austin and San Antonio, even better twenty five miles from any roads. Any place easy to get to with easy parking?

Boy if there's one thing I miss about Chicago it's the Blues clubs. But like Northsidesox72 said, they're all in the city as far as I know.

Egg donor?!

Ex-wife.

I figured. I just never had heard that before, it had me cracking up. I have one of those myself.

Rosa's Lounge is on the northwest side of the city and a great blues bar. An absolute dive, but everything you want in a blues bar.

Probably only 30 minutes away from mundelein.
