July 28, 200322 yr i dont hate anyone.. i dislike alot though....... sosa is the best. i really been harsh on some of the players this weekend and i am sure most if not all at really nice people. but in some way, it comes with the territory. i only real player i hate is sosa and yes i meet him when he was a player for the sox. other than that, i have to give my props to the player for developing a thick skin. i guess they have too, b/c if i heard some of the stuff that was thrown there way, i would be extremely angry.

I think the "hate" directed at athletes is similar to hating a movie character. You hate a villan in a movie because of what he or she does to the good guys. That doesn't mean (in most cases) if you saw the actor who plays the villan walking down the street the street you would walk up to them and be like YOU SUCK I HATE YOU. The hate involved doesn't even really deserve to be called hate, as it is such a shallow emotion. Not that I don't do my share of "hating".
