May 1, 201015 yr I was reading a writeup by John Sickels about the '10 draft pitching class and saw this written about our former draft pick. Bryan Morgado, LHP, University of Tennessee A draft-eligible sophomore last year, Morgado was picked by the White Sox in the third round but did not sign. That may have been a mistake, as his performance this spring has been erratic. He has an ugly 5.88 ERA and has walked 28 in 52 innings, but has allowed just 44 hits and has fanned 60. The K/IP and H/IP point to his potential. Mechanical problems are his biggest issue, but he still has a live arm with a 90+ fastball that someone could take a chance on fairly early. for the rest of you draft-niks and prospect watchers here's the page with the full write up plus some others to be found. http://www.minorleagueball.com/2010/4/22/1...r-the#storyjump
May 1, 201015 yr Isn't he a lefty? Because that sucks, because we could really use more lefty's right now, even though he crapped out this year.

May 1, 201015 yr Morgado has been terrible for us this year, though our whole pitching staff sucks so maybe he's not getting the best instruction. Tennessee's coaching is absolutely miserable, but still, he has too much talent to be pitching this poorly.
