He's doing pretty much what I figured he'd do this year - still a very low walk rate, still a very high K rate but not as spectacularly high, GO/AO improved, but his core numbers (ERA, WHIP) are slightly worse. All expected with his jump. The key with Dan, given his numbers are as expected, is velocity - the organization wanted to see him turn his 89 FB into 92 if possible. With his superb control and good breaking stuff, adding a few clicks to the fastball could make him a devastating pitcher. I'd love to know if he's made any progress in that area.
