July 31, 200322 yr They won't "recall" him until right before the game, so that we can use the extra bullpen arm for a few games longer.
July 31, 200322 yr I thought he wasn't doing too hot down in AAA, why recall him? He had one bad outing and one decent one. Threw a seven inning complete game, allowing three runs. He is the most logical choice right now.

Anyone have ideas or info? Yes, a roster move will have to be made. They won't have to activate him until Saturday, so it won't happen until at least after Friday night's game.

It's silly to trade away more talent to get a guy like Jeff Suppan... who before the season started could have been had for 500,000 (much like Loz) Danny has shown he can be good.... gotta have faith in him that he can give you 5 or 6 innings and keep us in the game.

I agree with you on this one. And if he doesn't do the job, then Cotts is waiting in the wings (note: on the same rotation schedule) for the next time up in the rotation. If a guy can be had cheaply and you know he will be better than Wright, then go for it. But sometimes you better be careful what you wish for, because you may get a guy to be your 5th starter and he may suck it up.
