i was in chi for 2 weeks b/c on my grandmother funeral. i passed soldier field and to tell you the truth, IT SUCKS. what are they doing. couldn't they thought of a better way to incorpate the old field.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma LDF.

When I was back in Chicago in August, I drove by it and it looked really funny. I think at worse they'll have to redo the pillars and make them bigger.

what they should have done is redo the whole thing, the pillars and all. it looked horrible.

When I drove past Soldier Field it looked like a massive f***ing inclined bowl inside Soldier Field.

It's Comiskey Park part deux.

excatly it look really bad.

There was absolutely no reason to even do any of this project! It looked fine just the way it was. People are starving out there and teams "must" have new stadiums. Bullcrap! If people actually used things until they couldn't be used anymore, instead of going out and buying a replacement, maybe we might not be in this poor state of economy! Use the money on stuff that REALLY matters rather than spending it on the latest "hi tech" stuff such as stadiums.

how about you all stop b****ing about how bad new soldier field looks because it really doesnt matter. People are still going to show up being true bears fans, and we will still have the bears no matter what it looks like.

It matters because the city gets a bad image with that space shuttle of a stadium.

no matter who show up, when it will be seen on the national level, we will be the laughing stock again. first the sox park and now that thing within the brick pillars.

Well if the new Sox park looks anything like those pictures showed, then I'll be stoked.

Well, it'll be years before the park looks like that if ever.

Does anyone have pictures for what the new soldier field is supposed to look like?

Good Lord, even the pictures are ugly.

What were they thinking?

Ya, I saw it when I was in Chicago, it looked bad, but I figured they knew what they were doing.

Now I see they just designed the thing terribly, cause it looks freaking hideous in the pictures.

That is nowhere near like Comiskey park. I actually think Comiskey Park is pretty nice looking, the seats in the upperdeck may suck, but the rest of the park is pretty nice, imo.

Soldier Field, well those pictures look terrible.

You we're here a few months ago, the skeleton wasn't as far along.

The stadium has already been bashed in the media.

I'm sure the finished product will look nice, just from afar, it doesn't look good.
