Ipod/Itunes help

Question for someone smarter than I am:

I had to reformat my IMac.

Stupidly, I didn't save my Itunes catalog.

Now all of my music is on my Ipod, but not my computer.

I can't add to or create song lists.

Is it possible to transfer my Itunes catalog from my Ipod to my Imac?

I tried everything I could think of and was only able to transfer the music I actually purchased off the Apple website.

Everything I burned off cd's and stuff I couldn't figure out.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance....

Do some google searches and you'll find some answers.

I think you can plug in your iPod though and upload everything into iTunes again somehow though.

thanks guys.

i did the senuti, but they only allowed 1,000 song transfers.

then i found music rescue that did it all for free, but still copied the 1,000 songs I already did.

Now, I'm painfully deleting all the duplicates one at a time.

Ahh, sorry about your troubles, my friend. At least you have them back on the iMac now.
