Don't look now but the 24 year old has hit a hot streak. Daylan Holt hit a 2run homerun to win tonight's game for the Hogs.

Holt has hit in six straight games and has three homeruns in 11 RBIs during the streak.

 

His average is now up around .255. Maybe this means nothing, but it looks like Holt is trying hard to finally make a name for himself.

IIRC, he holds some kind of NCAA record for homers in a season and was drafted in the 3rd round by the A's.

 

So it's not like he has been s*** for his whole baseball career.

We keep Kip Wells and Josh Fogg, we probably don't have Colon. How's that sound to you?

 

I'm actually somewhat glad we got rid of him, simply because we got Bartolo because of it.

It's an assumption. I personally don't think we would have gotten Colon had we had Wells and he was very successful last year with us.

 

I personally could give a rat's ass though. We don't have him and no one says we wouldn't have gotten Colon nor does anyone say we would have gotten Colon. I'm just happy we have him right now.

Colon would've cost us Kip and at least Fogg, IMHO.

You're probably right; they would have held out for one of those guys instead of Biddle.

i am much happier with colon and loazia then wells and fogg..we are looking for results now and can't afford to wait for those guys to develop.

We can speculate all night on what might have been or might not have been because of that trade, but it just can't be justified because it ruined the 2002 team. No team could have survived Todd Ritchie in 2002, and that trade had nothing to do with Colon coming here this year.
