Bad news for the Blackhawks

Featured Replies

Hawks winger Eric Daze is gonna be out at least 6 weeks with a messed up disc in his back. This is obviously a huge blow to the Hawks & leaves them with a big hole on their second line.

At least he is only going to miss the first three weeks of the regular season. It's better he gets this done now than him having it get worse and have to have a season-ending back surgery in the middle of December.

Don't fret. "Dollar" Bill Wirtz will sign whoever it takes to replace the hole left in Daze's absence.

I dont think an injury like this will be as serious as it would have been in recent years. For once the Hawks have a good deal of depth in the lineup & it's actually gonna make me sorry to see some of these guys go back to Norfolk.

the hawks does have some depth but still they are not on the same page as eric at this moment.

Its too bad they didn't sign that super rook that they have or whatever you want to call the guy.

there are 2 that they didn't sign, and the one you are talking about can start and do well.

I think it's going to hurt the Hawks, just because they don't have huge depth on offense. Even after he returns, they're going to have to be aware of his health - I know guys who've had back surgery and they say that you feel better afterwards, but you don't feel completely right for a long time, if ever.

I just wish that Andy Griffith ( Wirtz ) would have let his flunkies address the offense during the off-season.

thing is the player union contract is up this yr and he is preparing for a poss lockout. that is why they were going for players who would accept a 1 yr contract except for theo.
