September

Glancing over the schedule for the month of September, one can get a bit uneasy seeing the Yankees, and a s***load at the end against the team we're chasing right now; however, it makes such uneasy feeling better knowing that we have only 10 road games in the month, with 17 home games. We all know how well we play at home. So, if we get out of August less than 3 games back, I think we're gonna be in good hands.

Know that I'm not hoping to be 3 games back at the end of the month...hell I wanna grab first all alone right now...But things are looking up for us!

WOW. 17 home games in September? I all of a sudden feel a lil better about our chances...

yeah but with boston, the yanks, and kc in september i dont feel so great about those chances............. :o being at home is good for us but its gonna be tough to take a few of those series.......

I don't see KC as a tough team anymore. Scrappy yes but they can't touch our starting pitching and their starters have nothing on our hitters. The only guy we can't hit is McDougal.

Going by their present records, have the Sox won a series against ANY team with a record over .500 except the Royals?

We said this at the end of April...

KC is still one game up

I just looked and saw our last series is 4 games against KC, AT KC......that kinds scares me, even though we just swept them at their house.

September is good becasue we have call-ups that can fill roles especially in the bullpen and defensively.

Toronto was over .500 and we took three series from them. The only other teams over .500 that we played are Boston (split,) and the west coast teams. Not counting interleague.

Minny, Cubs, Dodgers, KC, and we've split so far with Boston.

I don't think Minnesota is currently over .500, are they?

Forgot abouth the Scrubs and Dodgers, I feel a little more confident now. They should also have taken 2 of 3 from the Giants.

Barely, 57-56 and that could be .500 in a half hour from now. Toronto is currently at .500.

Yes, in my mind I also count the Giants. :P :P :P :P

I think we've played pretty well against good teams this year. If only we played well against bad teams (Detroit, Cleveland, etc.).

We play 7 of our final 10 games against KC so the division will still be up for grabs.
