September 21, 201114 yr Ryan Braun is my favorite hitter, but I think his defensive inabilities prevent him from being considered the best player in baseball. I would still vote for Pujols as the best player.

But they also would need nothing else to go wrong. Fielder to remain a 5-6 WAR player instead of the 3.4 WAR player he was last year or the 1.7 WAR player he was in 2008. Bautista to continue to be one of, if not the, best players in MLB. Lawrie to not turn into Beckham.
