How the hell else was I supposed to get home?  I did wait til after 3 before I got home and didn't have a sip of alcohol after 9.  I was sober enough...Just didn't wanna get home too much later, since my eyes were about to shut.

Driving 100 mph under the influence of alcohol is insane and ignorant. Im not trying to be rude just for fun, I truly hope you learn your lesson before you kill yourself or someone else.......... :bang

Get a mirror then, and you can cuss yourself out next time you kill a family of innocent victims...... :bang  :bang

And while she's serving 20 to life in prison for 3 or 4 counts 1st degree manslaughter, she can scream all the obcenities she wants while she's being gang raped by a bunch of 200 pound dikes with a broken broom that they've turned into a strap on. :o

So, you wanted to get home safely by going 105?

And you were drunk and about to fall asleep at the wheel...and you were speeding. Yeah, that's safe.

Plus she has a hangover, which is clear evidence that she was not sober before she went to sleep.......... :bang

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....call a cab like a responsible human being would do?

Call a friend?

Drive outside the stadium parking lot (since they wouldn't let you sleep there all night) and park in a near-by parking lot somewhere?

There are MANY choices that you had, and you made the worst possible one.

Oh boy.

I think everyone has made their point about Heather's drinking and driving.

No one got hurt.. perhaps it is time to move on.

Wow, can we just take a moment and realize that there is something BMR, Clujer and I actually all agree on?

Its time to move on when she realizes teh mistake she made and only then........... :nono

I'll be sure to not let it happen again,.

Great minds think alike dude...

There are only 2 ways she will learn. 1) She kills someone, but then she's in prison, so the lessons she learned are useless, or 2) She is ridiculed and yelled at so much that she realizes just how STUPID her choice was. At this point, all she's concerned about was that her dad asked her if she was OK. That shows me that she has learned nothing.

Exactly, now lets' turn it back to me and my comfy car seats.

Believe it or not, or care or not, this conversation could save lives. I just want Heather to realize the risk she took. The risk of her own safety and others, not to mention DUI.

Ooohhh...I wonder if you would have the same feeling if your husband were on his way home from picking up the kids at school, and a drunk driver swerved into their lane and killed all 3 of them?

That can happen ANYTIME someone gets behind the wheel drunk, and when someone we know makes the decision to drink and drive, it's up to us to make them find the error in their ways so it doesn't happen again, because who knows, it could be one of us (or someone in our family) that she's killing next time when's she's not so "lucky".

My life HAS beed effected by a drunk driver. Has YOURS? Do you know the feeling of getting the call?

Please save the sermon.

Personally.. I don't think me, or you, or anyone here has the right to give Heather a lesson on morals.

Did anyone get hurt? No. So say your peace and move on. Unless, of course, you have nothing better to do but beat the hell out of this horse, too...

Good points, but i never saw heather admit what she did was stupid........i do hope she sees this......cuz i care about her.

If I dont go into the Marine Corps, or I retire early, Im gonna be a cop. And Im gonna be an asshole. Im gonna pull anybody over for the smallest thing. Im gonna taunt people too. Im gonna do 60 in a 45 and then pull people over for doing 53. In Virginia, you get a $50 fine for crossing one empty parking space. 2 spaces, 100 bucks. So if I see someone cross two spaces (assuming Im in a state where such is the law) Im gonna run my cruiser up an empty row of spaces (so it totals like an $1000 fine) and then go run em down. Youre not gonna want to mess with me. Maybe I could be undercover. So I dont drive around in a cruiser and dont wear the uniform, just have the badge. Im gonna be a badass cop...

This is important steff. Heather could kill someone. If ya drink, dont drive. Its that simple. This isnt to be rude, its to teach a lesson...

Thankfully, no, my life has not been directly affected by a drunk driver, and I'm sorry that yours has. It surprises me that someone whose life has would take the "nobody got hurt, let's forget about it" approach.

And I feel that it's our place as HUMAN BEINGS to try to help those with a problem, and get them to seek help and/or do some soul-searching to find out why they would put others at such risk. I don't want anyone here to die, nor do I want them to be the cause of another's death. Call it a sermon if you wish, but if it is a sermon, it's one of humanity and common sense.

WHen i drink, and i do, i either take a cab, or walk.  I wont put myself in that position............

When I drink, I don't get incredibly drunk...and I always walk or take the campus bus system. I don't get drunk cuz when I go out I go with a lot of friends and I wanna make sure they get home alright since they sometimes get pretty blasted.

It also helps that I don't have a car down there to use but even if I did, I'm not f***ing stupid enough to pick up the keys after drinking.

Badass cops do more desk riding than cruiser riding. And don't say that to a background investigator. I guarantee that, if you do, you will never be a cop. Ever.

If I ever go to a party and my friends get drunk and I dont, and one of them is driving, they better hand over the keys. Ill beat the s*** outta them before I let them get in the car. Ill do whatever it takes to stop them from driving...
