Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Been a Sox fan for nearly 20 years, yes im certifably crazy, living here in the SW Michigan area. Glad I just happened upon this site, looks like a great place to talk Sox bb with other diehards. Usually about this time of year I'm getting fired up for Fb but it looks as if the Sox just might give us a pennant race to get fired up over this season. The next 2 weeks will tell us a lot about where this race is headed. KC plays their next 13 against the Yanks and the Twins while the Sox get the Halo's and Texas. These next 14 games will tell us if this Sox team is a pretender or contender.

welcome to soxtalk! :cheers :cheers :cheers

I guess I am just more cultured than you then. I speak Bridgeport, Hoosier, and Michigander and can assymilate into any of their strange cultures

I think the new surge of new members is because of the garbage dump that the whitesox.com board has become. I know that's why I came here.

1. I am going to Wyandotte to eat the local speciality. What is it? Muskrat. They actually have a festival for it every year but then every town in Michigan has a festival for something once a year. And in Wyandotte they do indeed actually eat Muskrat.

2. My sister gets a paycheck from Ford Motor Company; where do we say she works? Fords. It is never Ford, always Fords.

3. The City of Taylor is popularly known by another name. It is: Taylor-tucky.

4. Spell "Michigan" the way the Bob Ufer said it. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech-i-gan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much beloved longtime broadcaster of UM football games until his death in the early 1980s.

5. Bob Talbott is/was: noted DFP columnist with much celebrity status before his untimely death - was to Michigan what Bob Greene was in Chicago, minus the sexual scandal. Every Monday his column was entitled "Out of My Head on Monday Moaning..."

Welcome aboard bri! You were the 1000th person to register btw... :headbang
