Community Policing Grants

Featured Replies

I am involved with my neighborhood improvement association, CAPS, etc. I've been told about Federal grants for community policing through the Department of Justice, and I'm looking into it.

I was wondering if anyone else knew of any avenues to take, be it through federal/state/county/city governments that can help with grants/endowments/any type of funding for neighborhood improvement or policing programs.

Or even any information on initiatives that have worked in your area would be appreciated.

I would start with your local police department and see which ones they are familiar with.

Are you an entity, like a NFP? The first step to getting money is 501c3 status in my experience.

Actually, I was surprised that it took that many posts for some kind of comment correlating the two.
